This started with my son’s teddy — the one he takes to bed every night, the one that’s been there through tears, giggles, naps, and everything in between. I wanted to capture that — not just the shape of it, but the memory held in it.

So The Comfort Commissions were born...

 

 Each object is gently coated in either non-toxic, washable tempera paint, or a gold leaf adhesive for a more striking, luminous finish — depending on the feeling you want to hold onto. The bear is then pressed onto canvas, leaving behind a real, physical impression of something emotionally intangible.

 

It’s about more than the bear — it’s about preserving memories. Freezing the comfort, the history, the love.

 Your beloved comforts are returned clean and as you delivered them — and for those wanting a more refined finish, I can add a layer of high-shine epoxy resin to give the piece extra depth and permanence.
